Dr. Axel Martinez, a Puerto Rican native, earned his Dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1996. He pursued further education through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program with the University Hospital in conjunction with the University of Louisville. Dr. Martinez also expanded his knowledge in implantology by taking various private courses and joining the Intracoastal Study club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which invited esteemed speakers in American Dentistry to keep the South Florida Dental community updated with the latest technology.

As a compassionate professional, Dr. Martinez has worked in rural areas to provide care for those in need, served as a provider for patients with HIV, and assisted soldiers getting ready for deployment during his tenure in the United States Navy, where he earned a medal of achievement within his first year for modernizing their outdated radiography systems.

Dr. Martinez’s artistic talents extend beyond his profession, as he is renowned worldwide for his sculptural and contemporary portraiture work. He actively teaches and mentors painters of all levels of expertise at Bold School Inc. His artwork has been featured in local galleries and has won Best in Show for his portraiture and honorable mention for his pottery skills.

Dr. Martinez’s inquisitive mind and love for the arts drew him to the practice of dentistry, where he found a niche to showcase his intellectual and artistic abilities. Patients appreciate his gentle touch and chair-side manner, which have been attributed to his success as an associate at Galt Family Dentistry in Fort Lauderdale for four years before opening his own private practice in Wilton Manors. After serving the community for several years, he sold his practice in 2020 to pursue his dream of building a vacation home but continued to provide temporary dental services for dentists on extended leave at Tomalty Dental Group in Boca Raton.

Dr. Martinez is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Adam Schuessler is a board-certified, dual-degree Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Florida. Dr. Schuessler completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. He continued his training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Afterward, Dr. Schuessler trained at Kings County Hospital Center / SUNY Downstate Medical center for six years. During his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Schuessler performed various surgical procedures, such as dentoalveolar & 3rd molar surgery, IV sedation, advanced bone grafting, maxillofacial trauma and dental implants. Dr. Schuessler continues to attend multiple national courses to stay up to date with the latest information and advances in oral surgery & implant dentistry.

After completing his residency training, Dr. Schuessler wanted to provide the highest standard of care to his patients. He became board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The board certification process is a very demanding two-year process that includes a rigorous written qualifying exam followed by a comprehensive oral examination. This achievement demonstrates that a surgeon has achieved the highest level of clinical proficiency and knowledge in the field.

Dr. Nikolaos Gavrilis is an experienced dentist who is dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their care. He has advanced training in dental implants, restoring damaged teeth, and root canal treatment, allowing him to treat many dental needs in one place.

Dr. Gavrilis studied biology at the University of Central Florida and earned his dental degree from New York University. After dental school, he completed hospital-based training in New York, where he gained valuable hands-on experience. He later completed advanced specialty training in restoring teeth and dental implants, as well as root canal therapy.

With many years in private practice, Dr. Gavrilis is known for his gentle approach and for taking the time to explain treatments in a clear, easy-to-understand way. He speaks both English and Greek and is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care for every patient.

Dr. Ross Hauer is a Board-Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist. He is a highly skilled clinician with an extensive educational and surgical background.

Dr. Hauer received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Florida in 2016. Following dental school, Dr. Hauer moved to New York City and completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Montefiore Medical Center. He then began practice as a General Dentist in Boca Raton, FL.

In 2018, Dr. Hauer returned to The University of Florida and completed a rigorous, three-year residency program in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. After his residency program, he was awarded a Master of Science (MS) Degree in Dental Science. Also, he was awarded “The Golden Implant Award” by his instructors for his expertise in the field of Implant Dentistry. While at the University of Florida, Dr. Hauer participated in clinical research related to Diabetes and its relationship to Periodontal Disease.

Dr. Hauer is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Board of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, South Florida District Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, and Florida Association of Periodontists. He currently serves as President of the South Broward District Dental Association.

Dr. Hauer is committed to continuing education and strives to provide his patients with the highest standards of care and professionalism.

In his free time, Dr. Hauer enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also enjoys attending sporting events, concerts, and traveling.
