Dr. Zahid Juma is a highly accomplished dentist with a global educational background. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Dr. Juma pursued his passion for dentistry by embarking on a remarkable journey of learning and growth.

Dr. Juma began his dental education in the lush rainforests of Karnataka, India, where he earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Manipal University. After completing his internship, Dr. Juma set his sights on New York City, a vibrant hub of opportunity and knowledge. There, he attended New York University College of Dentistry, obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Throughout his career, Dr. Juma has remained dedicated to providing his patients the highest level of care. His patient-centered approach focuses on understanding each individual’s unique needs and goals. With a compassionate and caring demeanor, he helps his patients achieve optimal oral health and beautiful smiles.

Dr. Juma’s recent focus lies in the field of tooth replacement. Over the past decade, he has observed the prevalence of missing teeth and made a personal commitment to rehabilitate those affected. With extensive training in implantology, including bone grafting, ridge preservation, and various implant placements, Dr. Juma is equipped to provide comprehensive solutions. He handles the entire tooth replacement process, from planning and placement to restoration, eliminating the need for multiple referrals and streamlining treatment for his patients. His expertise includes implant crowns, bridges, implant-supported overdentures, snap-in dentures, All-on-4, All-on-X, and other full-arch fixed prostheses. Dr. Bernard Nash is a highly experienced dentist who has been in the field for over 25 years. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, making history by becoming the first student to graduate in three years instead of four. He was also an instructor at the same institution. Dr. Nash specializes in general dentistry and has helped many patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Nash is also a devoted family man. He has been married for 37 years and is the proud father of two children and grandfather of two grandchildren. He also enjoys his time with his two dogs and two cats.

In his free time, Dr. Nash likes to indulge in his hobbies of cars, soccer, and football.

Dr. Sherin Thamarasseril was born and raised in South Florida. She attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!), where she earned her Bachelor of Science in food science and human nutrition. She then went to Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating cum laude in 2019.

After dental school, Dr. Thamarasseril decided to further her education and experience, so she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at LECOM in Bradenton, FL.

Dr. Thamasseril loves getting to know her patients on a personal level, and she’s committed to providing comprehensive, patient-focused dental care. She continually expands her dental knowledge by participating in continuing education courses and seminars, and she is a member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association. She is also bilingual, speaking English and Malayalam.

When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Thamarasseril enjoys trying out new restaurants and recipes, working out, reading, watching Netflix, and spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. Lauren Lockhart earned her undergraduate degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She went on to study dentistry at the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Lockhart performed her Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics residency at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida.

After completing her residency, Dr. Lockhart returned to her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, to practice orthodontics for four years before moving to Tampa, Florida, in 2012, and has been a Floridian ever since.

Dr. Lockhart is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, and the Florida Association of Orthodontics.

Dr. Gregory Urfrig was raised in Los Angeles, CA, but pursued his education on the East Coast. He completed an accelerated 7-year program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he obtained his Bachelor’s in Biology and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees. At Penn, he distinguished himself by serving as class president throughout his dental school years.

Following his undergraduate and dental education, Dr. Urfrig moved to New York to undertake his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training. He completed his intern year at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, followed by a residency at Kings County Hospital Center/SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn in 2006. Subsequently, he pursued an advanced fellowship in Maxillofacial Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Urfrig’s extensive training has provided him with comprehensive experience in various aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dental implants, bone grafting, IV anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, pathology, and dental extractions. He is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).

With a particular interest in Anesthesia, Dr. Urfrig pursued additional certification, becoming a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA) and a fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA).

Dr. Mobeen Alvi, an Endodontist who specializes in root canals. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology. He received his dental training at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He completed his residency and advanced specialty training in Endodontics from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Alvi has performed over 10,000 successful root canal procedures using the surgical operating microscope. He has spent his career providing patients with exceptional compassionate care. The thought of a root canal can cause fear and anxiety. However, Dr. Alvi takes his time to listen his patients to understand their previous dental experiences to ensure the procedure is performed as comfortably and as painlessly as possible. Dr. Alvi holds memberships in the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), Florida Association of Endodontists (FAE) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. Alvi is married to his beautiful wife of over 10 years and they have 3 children together. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf and he is an avid snowboarder. He roots for the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles and the Orlando Magic!
