Dr. Javier Echevarria graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus, in 2016 with an established background in Mechanical Engineering. This background gives him an excellent knowledge of the delicate balance of forces within the dental system.

Dr. Echevarria completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus, and in 2018 completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) from Montefiore Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. His passion for providing the best dental care to his patients led him to complete a course in Dental Implants from the Panamerican Institute of Implantology and Oral Rehabilitation in Puerto Rico, and in 2019 he trained in Clear Aligners with Dr. Galler.

Dr. Echevarria currently serves as a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry for Sage Dental in the South Lakeland community. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, outdoor adventures, scuba diving, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his Australian Shepherd Rokko and his family.

Dr. Vy Truong graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2021 and has since devoted herself to enhancing her patients’ oral health and overall dental experiences. With a strong commitment to patient care, Dr. Truong is known for her trustworthiness, compassion, and attentive approach. She takes pride in creating a welcoming and relaxed environment where her patients feel supported and at ease during their visits, whether they are undergoing routine checkups or more complex procedures. 
 
Dr. Truong finds fulfillment in improving her patients’ oral health and smiles, recognizing the significant impact it has on their confidence and quality of life. Her dedication to personalized care means she takes the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and concerns, offering tailored solutions that promote long-term oral health.

Dr. Richard Burns is a highly experienced orthodontist with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. He began his academic journey at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating in 1979. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1983. He completed a dental residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio in 1984, followed by specialized training in orthodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics in 1986.  

For 31 years, Dr. Burns owned and operated a successful private orthodontic practice in Northeastern Ohio, serving his community with personalized, high-quality care. He also shared his expertise as an Assistant Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Division of Orthodontics, for 10 years, helping train the next generation of dental professionals. In 2018, he relocated to Florida to continue his passion for orthodontics and remains committed to helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, confident smiles. 

Dr. Burns is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the West Coast District Dental Association, reflecting his dedication to continued professional growth. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time at Disney World, recreational shooting, playing the bass guitar, and indulging in his enthusiasm for high-performance automobiles. His blend of deep experience, academic involvement, and approachable personality makes him a trusted and well-rounded provider in the field of orthodontics.
