Dr. Barak Wray is a board-certified periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology who is passionate about providing exceptional periodontal and implant care. He is committed to helping patients achieve optimal oral health through personalized treatment, advanced technology, and compassionate care. With extensive experience in both clinical practice and education, Dr. Wray focuses on creating positive patient experiences while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.<\/p>\n

Dr. Wray earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he was commissioned into the United States Navy, where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. He later completed his postgraduate residency training in Periodontics and earned a Master\u2019s degree in Oral Biology at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School before achieving board certification in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery.<\/p>\n

As a periodontist, Dr. Wray provides a full scope of periodontal services, including dental implant placement, treatment of periodontal disease, laser-assisted procedures, soft and hard tissue grafting, and esthetic periodontal treatments. During his career in the Navy, he was appointed the Navy\u2019s Specialty Leader for Laser Dentistry through the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and became a Certified Instructor for the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry. Dr. Wray also served as an Assistant Professor with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and as faculty at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, where he helped train future periodontists to provide advanced care for Sailors and Marines around the world.<\/p>\n

Recently relocating to the Tampa area with his wife and daughter, Dr. Wray enjoys being closer to family in Florida.
